Sequence - ceramic bowl from Danish Kristina Vildersbøll, trained designer from the Academy of Fine Arts. For Vildersbøll, it is central to creating products that are sculptural and beautiful in their aesthetics, but which are also made for everyday use. A cup must lie perfectly in the hand to be comfortable to drink from, but in Vildersbøll's designs a new form also arises when her designs are stacked on top of each other, for example. A plate should not only be appealing in itself to look at, but should also be designed so simply that it allows a meal to be presented beautifully in its own right.
These serving bowls are inspired by the simplicity of the very first ceramic production in Denmark. They are shaped to fit the hands that bring them to the table and pass them around.. The glaze is rustic but soft and reminds you of the surface of a stone that has been in the sea for a long time.
Kristina Vildersbøll's designs have been exhibited both outside and at home and bring together a Nordic tone with classic clean lines and tight curves. Vildersbøll has been producing her own ceramic designs from her studio at Islands Brygge in Copenhagen since 2014. She has been nominated, won awards and is widely recognized for her uncompromising craftsmanship.
