The author is Wang Shaoqiang, a professor at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in China and a supervisor at the College of Arts and Humanities at the Macau University of Science and Technology. Shaoqiang is the editor of Design 360° magazine and the Asia-Pacific Design yearbook.
