Mask for dressing up that you can decorate yourself. The mask is from the Danish company Maduka, which specializes in costume clothing that is produced with great care both for the children and for the planet. 8 textile markers are included.
MADUKO was founded by Anna Gammelgaard and Maja Raaschou in 2021, based on the ambition to create change in the way we think, talk about and play with children and the products that surround them.
Dressing up has several good qualities in relation to children's play and development, among other things because it naturally invites play with identity, and because dressing up as a character can give courage - also among children who find themselves in vulnerable situations or are weak in a children's community.
If you want the mask to be washable and the colors to last, use the included textile markers. If washing is less important, use whatever you have at home.
To protect the environment, Maduko recommends washing the mask at 30º, but it can withstand being washed at 60º. (If you use textile dyes, pay attention to what the textile dye manufacturer recommends). Feel free to let the mask hang or lay dry. All fabric is washed before sewing to minimize the content of residual color and so that the product has the same size after washing.
The mask closes with velcro, and if the velcro becomes loose, it is most often because there is sand, threads or other dirt in it. That is why it is a good idea once in a while to take a needle and run it through the hairs. If one day the Velcro gives up completely, it can be replaced. This is one of the reasons why Maduko has chosen that many of their products are closed like this.
