The Korshage Bench from Skovshoved Møbelfabrik still stands in its original form in front of the modernist architect Erik Korshagen's (1926-2005) listed summer house in Rørvig. Where the model originally originated is unknown, but there is probably no doubt that the architect has left his mark on this strictly designed and almost Japanese-looking bench. The bench is in the classic wagon green colour, a deep dark green. Sold online only .
Skovshoved Møbelfabrik has over time found the inspiration for their garden furniture from existing classics all around Denmark.
The brand's furniture is produced in Poland from wood, harvested in Europe. The factory requires producers and sub-suppliers to be able to document proper working conditions, no use of child labour, proper wages and documentation of the origin of the wood and the work behind it - eg replanting.
In 2009, the brand decided to replace the turpentine-based paint with water-based paint in the painting process – three years before the EU legislated in the area.
