Jug from the Danish ceramicist Sarah Dannesboe. The jug is turned on a turntable and glazed on the inside in a semi-matt white. The exterior is kept raw to highlight the sandy texture and color of the stoneware clay.
Based on the coast north of Copenhagen, Sarah Dannesboe produces functional ceramics from her garden studio. She primarily spins with local chamotte-containing stoneware clay and uses her own unique glaze formulations. Texture and lightness are central elements in her work.
After 20 busy years in the wine business in France and Great Britain, Sarah Dannesboe chose to dedicate herself fully to ceramics.
