Central Jutland Carpets

Central Jutland Blankets in 100% Pure Norwegian Wool by Danish Weaver Anne Mette Larsen. The blankets tell the story of four locations in Central Jutland, interpreted through the creation of 20 unique blankets woven at the Norwegian weaving mill Røros Tweed.

Tinnet Krat, where the Gudenå River springs to life, the grand paper drying barn at Klostermølle, Skovvilla designed by Anton Rosen, and the historic Bathhouse in Silkeborg have all been "put through the textile wringer" and transformed into blankets made from 100% pure Norwegian wool. These blankets are highly durable and built to be passed down to the next generation.

Anne Mette Larsen is a trained weaver from Aarhus Art Academy with 40 years of experience. Through her life’s work, she has produced an impressive amount of textiles—over a kilometer in total. Her pieces are characterized by classic checkered patterns. Many of her woven works have found their way to galleries and collections worldwide: 3 meters of weaving placed in a library in Rome, 10 meters purchased by the Carlsberg Foundation and 14 meters exhibited at a gallery in Kyiv.

Notably, the blankets are double-woven, meaning the two sides have different designs.
