Japanese-inspired Origami stool in Danish beech. The color has been chosen by Louisiana in collaboration with the manufacturer, Anklang, in Præstø. Anklang's furniture originates from a local carpentry that specializes in exclusive, handmade picture frames and the idea for Anklang arose from the desire to send the carpentry's leftover wood into circulation again in some of the brand's designs. The DNA of the furniture bears the stamp of this history and the simple shapes find inspiration in the purity and shape of the art frames. Anklang sees itself as a furniture microbrewery - a furniture brewery.
The origami stool draws references from the Japanese paper art of origami. The stool is produced in South Zealand beech wood from a local sawmill. By producing from local wood, Anklang will help preserve cultural heritage and support Danish forestry.
