David Hockney is considered one of the greatest cartoonists of all time, and his drawings from the 1960s and 1970s are among his finest works.

Today, David Hockney divides his time between California and Normandy. The book has been produced in collaboration with Chris Stephens, director of the Holburne Museum in Bath. Stevens has curated several exhibitions of Hockney's work.
