The garden table, Dining table Yellow Aligned, was designed by the Dutch designer Maarten Baas for the Belgian brand valerie_objects.
Morten Baas redefined the typical garden furniture consisting of metal frames and wooden moldings by sketching the moldings with pencil on paper and then recreating them in reality. The garden chair, Chair Yellow Aligned, is therefore designed with a fully functional design piece in mind that looks as if it has been sketched by hand. The goal was to create a design that looks like it was drawn by a child.
valerie_objects is a Belgian high-end design brand founded by Axel Van Den Bossche, CEO of the design company Serax, and Veerle Wenes, owner of the design and art gallery Valerie Traan. Valerie Objects collaborates with various designers and artists with the mission of letting them translate their signature style into concrete, everyday objects.
