Safari stool

Membership price: $792

The safari stool KK97170 was designed by Kaare Klint's son, Esben Klint, after his father's death. The design principles from his father's Safari chair are repeated in the Safari stool: Esben Klint, despite a versatile education with several of the contemporary leading architects, was to a large extent his father's student. The stool's frame is made of oil-treated ash and the rest is made of canvas in a natural colour. In addition, the fine detail with straps in grain leather has been carried over from the Safari Chair to the Safari Stool. Can only be purchased online.

Kaare Klint's Safari Chair was one of the world's first self-assembled pieces of furniture, and the Safari Stool is also easily assembled without the use of tools. The stylish stool is a comfortable resting place for the feet and can also be used as extra seating in the living room or as a stool in the entrance hall.

Architect Esben Klint (1915-1969) designed furniture together with Børge Mogensen, and he has designed a number of lampshades for Le Klint, which are still in production.
