Turn back time to the old days with the kiko+ retro wooden tape recorder, which combines the charm of traditional wood with more modern electronics. The wooden tape recorder can actually record shorter sound bites, your speech or song - and play it back! The manufacturer is the Japanese brand, Kiko and gg, founded by the two Japanese female toy designers, Kaz and Novi.
Kiko and gg have been making wooden toys for over 10 years that are handmade in small batches in Asia. In close collaboration with both Japanese and international designers, Kiko and gg are known for reinventing disposable plastic toys for wooden toys with longer durability and they focus on using wood that is mined with less impact on the environment.
The Kiko+ tape recorder is modeled after a much-loved old school boombox design - portable music players that had their heyday in the 1980s.
