Latin American artists have received increasing international attention as the art world has opened its eyes to their extraordinary art scene and history. The book Latin American Artists: From 1785 to Now introduces important works of art by 308 artists born or based in Latin America.
The book is structured in an easily accessible AZ format. The many works and artists together demonstrate the diversity and vitality of Latin American artwork, focusing on those born or who have lived in the 20 Spanish and Portuguese-speaking regions of Latin America, and with historical and living artists – both those celebrated internationally and names that are less well known outside their home countries.
The book has been created in close collaboration with an expert panel of 68 advisers and writers.
