Gingerbread Kantha House - pancake house in recycled Indian textiles from the Danish brand, Sissel Edelbo. The brand was started in 2004 by childhood friends Jeanne Sissel Thomsen and Christina Edelbo with a vision to create a responsible fashion brand with a sustainable focus. The brand's main production is clothing and home textiles, built on the upcycling of used Indian saris and carpets to reduce the use of new fabrics. The founders have a close collaboration with their permanent suppliers in India, whom they typically visit 3-4 times a year - also to nurture the relationship and contribute to the well-being of employees with an ambition for dignity and respect.
Gingerbread Kantha House is sewn from remnants of Indian kantha rugs, decorated with sequins and sparkling silver lurex along the edges.
