The World of Frida Kahlo , illustrated by Laura Callaghan, is a puzzle for both young and old, with a theme about the world-famous Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. The motif consists of Frida Kahlo in the middle and around it is presented a selection of pictorial motifs from her life - art, career, family and friends. Frida Kahlo (1907-54) was a Mexican painter who taught herself to paint after a traffic accident in 1925 that crippled her for the rest of her life. She is famous for her many portraits, including those in figurative and narrative style. A selection of Frida Kahlo's works has previously been exhibited at Louisiana's Fantastic Women exhibition.
