Archetypes - Essential Works of Danish Design written by American architect and author Michael Sheridan. In the book, he focuses on a wide range of archetypal Danish designs that have retained their relevance.
Each design object is the result of a years-long development process that unites aesthetics, function and usability, based on a rich design tradition. The book follows, among others, Kay Boyesen's cutlery series Grand Prix, Grethe Meyer's stoneware series Ildpot, Mogens Koch's lamp Le Klint 505 and Arne Jacobsen's steel series Cylinda-line.
Michael Sheridan is one of the world's leading experts in modern Danish architecture and design.
