The story of Coffee Beanies begins with founder Aimee Kjær Kofoed, who was inspired during a family trip to Burundi and Rwanda in 2018. There, she met groups of women, some of whom could knit, but lacked opportunities to market and sell their products. This was the start of Coffee Beanies, driven by a strong “WHY” – the desire to make a difference. Aimee and her team collaborate with African women, helping them with training, marketing and sales, and involving volunteers who all share the same vision of making a difference for women.
