About gold-filled jewelry

The concept and inspiration behind her jewelry are layer-upon-layer with different elements and gemstones – a central characteristic of her designs. The style is simple and feminine, yet edgy, and the materials include gold-filled, 9-karat, and 14-karat gold. Gold-filled jewelry, also known as doublé, consists of a relatively thick layer of gold mechanically bonded to a base metal – typically brass or copper. This gold layer often makes up 5–10% of the jewelry's total weight, making it more robust and durable than gold-plated jewelry. Therefore, gold-filled jewelry retains its appearance longer and is less prone to losing its gold surface.
