As a celebration of the year's first spring day, a tribute to life and to light, the world-famous Danish pianist, Niels Lan Doky, has recorded a record in Louisiana: "YESTERDAY'S FUTURE – Live at the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art". The record consists of Lan Doky's compositions, both new and old, which he recorded during a spring concert at the museum, together with Tobias Dall on bass and Nikolaj Dall on drums.
It is the large painting, Portugal (2008) by the Danish painter, Per Kirkeby, which is included in the record's cover. Since 2021, the work has had a permanent place in the museum's concert hall in the company of the English painter, David Hockney's, A Closer Grand Canyon.
The record is available on vinyl in a limited edition of 500 pieces, of which Louisiana sells 100 pieces in the Louisiana Design Store and Webshop.
