Candlestick in stoneware from the Danish design brand, Niko June. The studio series actually started with cups, which were originally just the result of ceramic color samples, but the series became popular in the Niko June team and it pushed the candlestick into actual production and helped to expand the studio series consisting of ceramic equipment for the kitchen and table - handmade and glazed in Denmark.
Niko June produces with a sustainable focus in an old truck garage in Copenhagen and also has an office in the same building, because they want to be under the same roof, so they can follow each other's processes from idea to design. Niko June operates as a collective studio of colleagues with backgrounds in fashion, industrial design, craft and art.
Niko June works in several different materials, but avoids mixing materials together – because products made of mixed materials are more difficult to recycle. The brand only buys raw materials that can be obtained locally and seeks to manufacture their long-lasting designs locally and preferably responsibly from recycled materials.
