Candy Wrapper Rug wool runner from German Nomad studio, in new wool woven around leftover candy paper from the packaging industry. Headed by the award-winning founder and designer, Jutta Werner, Nomad specializes in products with less environmental impact, which are handmade in India in partnership with Indian weavers under socially responsible conditions.
Jutta Werner won the German Design Award in 2019 for her upcycling rug, NOMAD_01 . With architecture studies in Hamburg and his own business as a background, Werner is today at the head of Nomad, which as an interdisciplinary design agency designs for a number of prominent companies, including Dedon, Jab Anstoez Group and Vorverk. Jutta Werner equipped the German national football team's hotel for the European Cup in 2008.
Nomad's Candy Wrapper rugs are unique in the sense that it is completely random what colors may be on the candy paper scraps the rugs are woven around.
