Piet Hein - A Biography is the second volume of Peter Borberg's great biography of one of Denmark's greatest and most internationally recognized cultural figures of all time – the poet, cartoonist, inventor and designer Piet Hein (1905-1996).

The mature years 1957-1996 are the period of Piet Hein's life when he made his international breakthrough with the invention of the superellipse, and when he graced the cover of Life Magazine, maintained private relationships with people like Thor Heyerdahl and Charles Chaplin, while constantly working on new ideas within design.

Through Piet Hein's son, Hugo Piet Hein, Peter Borberg (b. 1972) has been granted exclusive access to Piet Hein's private archive, which includes thousands of letters, newspaper articles, documents, photographs, drawings and product drafts that have never before been made public.
