This decorative, handmade dish, designed by the Belgian artist Nadine Dewart for the Belgian design brand Serax, is part of the Wild Vegetal Variations collection, where a love for plants and flowers forms the basis for a playful and artistic design language. Here, function and aesthetics merge, as organic, plant-inspired forms and motifs become an integral part of the design itself. The dish is hand-formed from white clay and decorated with underglazes, before a transparent glaze adds a soft, glossy finish. The color palette is drawn from nature, with soft green hues, earthy tones, and subdued blues that create a calm and harmonious expression.

Behind the collection is Belgian artist Nadine Dewart, born in Canada and based in Brussels. Her work is characterized by an experimental approach to materials and techniques, ranging from collage and weaving to ceramic works. With an intuitive approach to clay, where engraving and painting play a central role, she creates objects that capture nature's energy and unpredictability in vibrant, organic forms.
