Pillow – Diamond

Pillow, Rhombus, which is available in a unique design only at Louisiana. The pillow is created in Denmark from surplus textiles from the Danish furniture industry. The front is decorated with an intricately embroidered Rhombus pattern inspired by the classic Sheworks X Louisiana wall decorations - and is color-coordinated to match our wall decorations in gray and sand.

Sheworks Atelier was founded by designer Solveig Søndergaard, with an ambition to bring minority women with handicraft talents into the Danish labor market and at the same time create high-quality designs from textile remnants – a recycling that saves water, chemicals and resources:

"The classic needlework skills are still found in a large number of women, including women on the fringes of our labor market. Many of them, both ethnically Danish and foreign, are extremely talented - but the things they can produce and sell are typically offset against their public benefits. So I simply decided to start the company Sheworks and employ the women. In this way, the women's talents are allowed to translate into high-quality designs, they enter the labor market and at the same time we take an environmentally friendly initiative in collaboration with parts of the furniture and textile industry," says Solveig Søndergaard.

Sheworks has won the Danish Design Award 2022 for its work with less environmentally damaging home decor, Danish design and social work. The brand collaborates with Fredericia Furniture, and their wall hangings hang on the wall in the headquarters of Skagerak, which is now owned by Fritz Hansen Furniture.
