Plaid, Warp & Weft , designed by Danish textile designer Tina Ratzer for Danish design brand Silkeborg Uldspinderi. Warp & Weft is based on a grid and repetition that creates a harmonious pattern that emphasizes the horizontal and vertical rhythm of the thread. The different, fascinating color combinations are a result of Tina Ratzer's important knowledge of both architecture and nature.

Silkeborg Uldspinderi has worked with wool for three generations, from the raw fiber to the finished product. The company was founded in 1987, but their expertise dates back to the 1940s, when Ludvig Bruun Olsen laid the foundation. Today, the third generation, Jesper Castillo Olsen, leads the company with a vision to unite traditional craftsmanship with modern design.
Their journey towards becoming a Danish design brand began in earnest in 1990 with art weaver Kamma Gudmand-Høyer and gained momentum in 2008 with Tina Ratzer's successful design Twist a Twill . This was the start of a strategic focus on design collaborations, where the company combines material knowledge with craftsmanship.
Since 2009, Silkeborg Uldspinderi has worked with baby alpaca and premium baby alpaca and has established its own office in Peru, where the expertise and raw materials are located. With respect for craftsmanship, they create timeless textile designs that unite quality, tradition and innovation.
