Ceramicist and artist Anders Arhøj, who is behind Studio Arhoj, started working with design and interiors in Tokyo in 2005. Arhøj emphasizes that his designs are produced in Denmark and in 2013 he opened his own design and production studio in Copenhagen. Here, all ceramics are designed, hand-turned and glazed. Anders Arhøj is close to the production, so he can adjust and control the quality.
Studio Arhoj has become world-renowned for their handmade ceramics. Nissen is Studio Arhoj's answer to Christmas's little ceramic gnomes who want to move into your home. The elf is inspired by the German Christmas folk songs, and the elf is glazed with a green elf hat, with a sprinkling of white snow.
Each elf is unique and has its own expression.
