Cushion - Fig Cactus 30 x 50 cm

Cushion, Fig Cactus, in 100% cotton from the Swedish design brand, A World of Craft. The cushion cover is hand-embroidered with fine stitches that cover the entire surface, creating a rich and decorative expression. The embroidery technique is called Nakshi Kantha and is a traditional craft technique with roots in South Asia. Each cushion cover bears the mark of meticulous handiwork, making each piece unique.

A World of Craft collaborates with local artisans to highlight craftsmanship from developing countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. A large part of the A World of Craft range is developed by A World of Craft Studio, the company's own design team. The idea is to use design as a tool to develop and market traditional crafts, thereby helping to create jobs in the regions where these crafts are currently the primary source of income. In this way, unique craft traditions have the opportunity to survive, while A World of Craft's customers gain access to craftsmanship from large parts of the world.
