BrugsKunst - FDB and the cultural mission 1930–50

The book presents FDB's importance for Danish design in the mid-20th century. It tells the story of the campaign Gode Brugsting , which, together with architect Børge Mogensen, made functional, industrially produced furniture accessible to ordinary homes. The book also shows how FDB, through its architectural office, advertising department and cultural outreach initiatives, left a lasting mark on Danish housing culture and design history, and provides a unique insight into the collaboration between architects, designers and engineers who shaped the iconic furniture of the period.
