Choose options

Louisiana Postcard with the work A Closer Grand Canyon ( 1998) by the English artist David Hockney, in connection with the exhibition series "At se nærmere" (2025).
Hockney masters classical drawing like few others, and with his unique landscape series he has made his mark in the history of drawing. In 2007, Louisiana acquired David Hockney's giant painting A Closer Grand Canyon (1998), consisting of 60 smaller canvases assembled into one large picture.
David Hockney currently resides in Normandy, where he constantly experiments with materials and captures local atmospheres with his fantastic line and sure sense of color.
For a number of years, Louisiana has presented a wide range of artists in the format 'On Paper', a series of exhibitions focusing on artists' drawings, graphics and other works on paper. Most often, these have been small, intense exhibitions that call for immersion because they go close to the artist's creative process or register of ideas.
