Tray – Folk Costumes Mini

Tray, Folkdräkter Mini , from the Swedish design brand Fine Little Day. The tray is designed by ceramist Masayoshi Oyas, and the characteristic, hand-painted stripes are inspired by traditional Swedish folk costumes.

Fine Little Day started as a blog in 2007 by artist and photographer Elisabeth Dunker, a trained designer from HDK in Gothenburg. Her everyday pictures and illustrations quickly gained international attention. Today, she works from home without a set routine and finds inspiration in everything from walks to flea markets. She works with acrylic, watercolor and crayons and prefers to draw on recycled materials rather than white paper. For Fine Little Day, she creates motifs and patterns that are used on posters, textiles, stationery and other design products.
