The Monolith Side Table from Form & Refine is a side table in solid European oak, developed with a focus on simple forms and functionality. The table is inspired by monumental architecture, including the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, and combines a striking expression with a calm and balanced form.

Monolith is designed as a versatile piece of furniture that can be used as a side table, a low table, or a stool. The construction highlights the natural grain of the oak, while the meticulously crafted joints support the furniture's architectural character and simple design language. The collection is created with a focus on reducing the piece of furniture to its most essential elements, where form and function go hand in hand.

Form & Refine was founded in 2018 by the furniture architects behind Herman Studio, Helle Herman Mortensen and Jonas Herman Pedersen, and director Lasse Lund Lauridsen. The brand strives to ensure that its wood waste is biodegradable and is a co-owner of Damsbo Forest on Funen, from which they source wood when the natural balance of the forest permits. They use this wood for their Danish-produced furniture, so this entire part of the production, from the first sprouting seeds to the finished product, takes place in Denmark.
