Monolith side table - dark brown ash

The Monolith Side Table from Form & Refine is a side table in solid European ash, developed with a focus on simple shapes and functionality. Inspired by monumental architecture, including the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, the table combines a striking expression with a calm and balanced form.

Monolith is designed as a versatile piece of furniture and can be used as a side table, low table, or stool. The construction highlights the natural grain of the ash wood, while the meticulously crafted joints support the piece's architectural character and simple design language.

Form & Refine was founded in 2018 by the furniture architects behind Herman Studio, Helle Herman Mortensen and Jonas Herman Pedersen, along with director Lasse Lund Lauridsen. The brand strives for its wood waste to be biodegradable and is a co-owner of Damsbo Forest on Funen, from which they source wood when the natural balance of the forest allows. They use this wood for their Danish-produced furniture, meaning this entire part of production, from the first sprouting seeds to the finished product, takes place in Denmark.

The Monolith collection is based on architectural forms and is crafted from solid wood with the ambition of creating furniture that can be used and last for generations.
