Memoryscapes

Exhibition poster published in connection with the exhibition Memoryscapes – the second exhibition in the series Architecture's Connections. Central to Memoryscapes is the notion of the human narrative as that which must create space for the dreams of future generations.
Architecture's connections to concepts and mindsets known from anthropology, archaeology and geology are in focus in the exhibition with the two design studios DnA_Design and Architecture (Beijing) and ATTA – Atelier Tsuyoshi Tane Architects (Paris). The two design studios are led by the Chinese Xu Tiantian and the Japanese Tsuyoshi Tane, respectively, who both seek to "excavate" stories about places and landscapes in order to be able to connect the past, present and future. To this end, their design studios develop new working methods that link social traditions, cultural heritage, craftsmanship and production conditions together in complex networks.
