Hand-woven bowl from the Finnish design brand Mifuko. The bowl can be used for storing items such as keys, jewelry, or fruit, and adds a natural and handmade look to your home and table setting. The bowl is woven from elephant grass, which grows wild in northern Ghana and is harvested by hand.
The design is developed in Finland and hand-woven in Ghana as part of a WFTO-certified Fair Trade production. Each bowl is signed by the artisan who made it.
Mifuko is a Finnish design company that combines modern Nordic design with traditional African craftsmanship. The products are made by over 1,300 female artisans in rural areas of Kenya, Tanzania, and Ghana and are sold in more than 30 countries. The name Mifuko means "pocket" in Swahili and reflects the company's goal that no one should be left with empty pockets. Mifuko is a member of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO), which ensures fair trade principles.
