Handmade wooden birds from Finnish design brand Mifuko. The birds are made from fallen branches from the jacaranda tree, which are carefully carved and hand-painted to give a unique, handmade touch.

Mifuko is a Finnish design company that combines modern Nordic design with traditional African craftsmanship. The products are made by over 1,300 female artisans in rural areas of Kenya, Tanzania and Ghana and are sold in more than 30 countries. The company's mission is to create joy for customers while improving the living conditions of women and their communities in Africa through fair wages and stable working conditions.

The name Mifuko means “pocket” in Swahili and reflects the company’s goal of ensuring that no one is left with empty pockets. Mifuko is a member of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO), which ensures fair trade principles.

All products are handmade and unique, and each product bears the name of the craftsman who made it.
