Citrus squeezers in glass - several colors

Elegant citrus press in solid glass, mouth-blown and signed by the resident Swiss glass artist, Jonas Nöel Niedermann. Niedermann is considered an absolute master of his craft, was trained as a glassblower at the age of 16 and has since worked in studios - often together with international masters - in Italy, Germany, Austria, Denmark and the USA, where his glass art is represented at the New York gallery.

The forms and expressions of nature are a clear source of inspiration for Jonas Niedermann's glass sculptures. He attributes his precise eye for form and dimension to the mighty Swiss mountain ranges he grew up in. Jonas's work acts as a conversation between the tradition and the future of glass craftsmanship and design. "I push the boundaries of my craft further with every experience," he says. "The goal is art."

Niedermann currently works as a glass master together with other artists and designers at the new Nordic glass museum, Holmegaard Værk, on Zealand.
