Wolfgang Tillmans. The Complete Works (publisher Taschen) gives an insight into how Wolfgang Tillmans has explored the photographic medium. From early portraits of his friends to abstract images made in the darkroom without the use of a camera, Tillmans has time and again pushed the boundaries of modern fine art photography. With this book, which has been published on the occasion of the publisher Taschen's 40th anniversary, Tillmans himself has edited and collected his previous four books for Taschen and updated them with new works.
Wolfgang Tillmans is a world-renowned German photographer and artist. Louisiana has had close contact and collaboration with the artist for many years. He has been presented at several exhibitions, e.g. his solo exhibition View from above in 2003. In 2019 the museum acquired his early work Louisiana 1996 for the collection.
