This Much is True

This Much is True by Danish photographer Albert Elm. The book mixes energetic snapshots and dreamy landscapes in a raw and playful story about Elm's life - at home and abroad. Motifs from Dubai, Mumbai and Carrara stand side by side with tourists in front of the Mona Lisa, the wall between Israel and Palestine and police forces in Copenhagen.
Elm, like many of his generation, navigates a storm of information, alternative ways of living, ideals, comparisons and countless temptations. The images are created in an attempt to understand the many facets of reality and an urge to push the boundaries.
Albert Elm (b. 1990) is a Danish photographic artist educated at the Glasgow School of Art (2015) and Fatamorgana (2008). Elm's work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and his first book was nominated for the Aperture/Paris Photo First Book Award (2017) and the Deutche Börse Book Award (2017).
